Dr. Vinod Choudhary is a distinguished medical professional with a robust academic foundation in pediatrics and pediatric nephrology. He completed his M.B.B.S. from Dr. S.N. Medical College, Jodhpur, under the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences. Further advancing his expertise, he pursued a DNB in Pediatrics at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, New Delhi, accredited by the National Board of Examination. Dr. Choudhary then specialized in Pediatric Nephrology through a prestigious Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Dr. Mehta’s Children Hospital, Chennai, affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. His commitment to excellence was further recognized with another Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology, awarded by the Indian Society of Pediatric Nephrology, also completed at Dr. Mehta’s Children Hospital.

Dr. Vinod Choudhary has a special interest in pediatric nephrology, with a focus on advanced extracorporeal therapies such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Hemodialysis, and Plasmapheresis, which play a crucial role in managing critically ill children with kidney dysfunction. He is also dedicated to the care and treatment of children with Chronic Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), ensuring effective dialysis management. Dr. Choudhary has extensive experience in treating Nephrotic Syndrome, working to reduce the risk of complications and improve long-term outcomes. Additionally, his expertise extends to Nephrolithiasis, providing specialized care for children suffering from kidney stones, with a focus on minimizing recurrence and enhancing overall kidney health. 

Dr. Vinod Choudhary’s submitted thesis on DNB (Pediatrics), titled “Evaluation of Iodine Deficiency Disorder by Measuring TSH Level in Neonates in Hospital Catering Population,” presents an insightful analysis of neonatal thyroid function as an indicator of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) within a specific hospital setting. By focusing on the measurement of Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels in neonates, this study highlights the crucial role iodine plays in neonatal development and the potential risks associated with its deficiency. Dr. Choudhary’s research significantly contributes to understanding the prevalence and impact of IDD in vulnerable populations, offering valuable insights for public health strategies aimed at addressing iodine deficiencies in early life.

Dr. Vinod Choudhary is a distinguished Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist with extensive experience across premier medical institutions in India, he served at Neokids Hospital, Jodhpur, contributing significantly to pediatric nephrology care. Prior to this, he was a Consultant and Associate Consultant at Dr. Mehta’s Children’s Hospital in Chennai, gaining expertise in managing complex nephrological cases. He worked as a Senior Resident in Department of Pediatrics in Saroj Hospital, Pitampura, New Delhi. He was a Senior Resident in Department of Pediatrics in S.R.H.C Hospital, Narela, New Delhi (GOVT. OF NCT DELHI). 

His global exposure includes being part of the Sister of Sister Renal Centre by International Society of Nephrology with Metro North Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.  Dr. Choudhary’s earlier roles as Registrar and Senior Resident across renowned hospitals in New Delhi and Chennai honed his clinical acumen in pediatrics. An academic contributor, he co-authored Pediatric Dialysis (2016), showcasing his commitment to advancing pediatric nephrology. Currently he is working as a Consultant and Head, Dept of Pediatric Nephrology, Radiant Children Hospital, Jodhpur and Visiting consultant in Krishna Hospital and Medipulse Hospital, Jodhpur.

He poured his knowledge on “Clinical conundrum in Pediatric Nephrology” at CME organised by IMA Jaiselmer branch along with this he has given a talk on “challenges in pediatric nephrology” at Sojat organized by IMA. 

He has conducted sessions on “Pediatric Acute Kidney Injury” at AIIMS Jodhpur, in Pediatric critical care update. He has hosted a seminar on “Potpourri of pediatric nephrology” at CME organised by IAP Bikaner. He has delivered a presentation on “Clinical challenges in day-to-day practice” at Barmer organized by IMA. He talked over “UTI – Pitfalls in Management” at Pali organized by IMA. He has also participated in Panel discussion on Nephrotic Syndrome in Nephkids. He presented his lecture on “Renal stone disease” at Nagour organized by IMA in 2018.

Dr. Vinod addressed audience on “Diagnosis and management of renal stone disease” in Nephkids and on “Pediatric Hypertension” at Raja Muthai Medical college, Annamalai university. He has shared insights on “Management of antenatally diagnosed pelviectasis and its long term outcome” at Pediatric Nephrology CME organised by IAP Trichy. Dr. Choudhary held an educational talks on “conundrum of immunisation in nephrotic syndrome” in NEPHKIDS and spoke on “Overview and basics of peritoneal dialysis” in Dialysis.
